Abstract

Throughout his academic career, one of the authors (NF) has always valued the area where he grew up and lived, doing academic work on the various archaeological periods and the remains that the municipality of Castelo de Vide has. In this way arises this article that aims to re-analyze the vast set of flaked stone tools of the Anta dos Mosteiros, not forgetting the studies already carried out, using here the classical assumptions of Archaeology: count, measure, weigh and classify. These new results are the beginning of a work that aims to identify the circulation of raw materials, prototypes and finished materials (endogenous or exogenous), identify typologies and chronologies of use, inserting the Anta dos Mosteiros in the Megalithism of Alto Alentejo.
