"AS ANTAS SÃO DO POVO" de operários a "arqueólogos" no concelho de Marvão nas décadas de 80 e 90 do séc. XX
Keywords:
Archaeology, Dolmens, Unemployed factories, MarvãoAbstract
In this communication we portray a social reality that results from the closure of several industries in the municipality of Marvão and that push dozens of people into unemployment, especially women. In the 80s and 90s of the 20th century, some of these unemployed factories joined the archeology teams that we organized to study and recover megalithic monuments. Under the scorching sun of the Alentejo summers, these "new archaeologists" chanted to the rhythm of the pickaxe: "If the land belongs to those who work it, the the dolmens belong to the people!"
