Initiated in 2005, the Archaeological Map of Avis enabled the development of a systematic strategy for survey, inventory and assessment of evidence of human occupation, consolidating an integrated understanding of the territory and the dynamics that shaped it. At the same time, the project contributed to the definition of methodological guidelines and strategies for intervention. Two decades after the start of the Archaeological Map of Avis, a synthesis of the results achieved is presented, highlighting its relevance as a tool for territorial planning and management, as well as for the study, protection, and valorization of the local archaeological heritage.
