O projeto de reabilitação da anta da Lapa da Meruje no contexto das estratégias para o estudo, proteção e valorização do património megalítico de Vouzela (Viseu)

Abstract

The Municipality of Vouzela has been implementing since 2015 an articulated series of measures and actions to protect and enhance its historical and archaeological heritage. In the case of megalithic and related heritage, the strategy has been based on field surveying and inventory, testing of selected sites to obtain contextual data, and their protection and enhancement. In this context, the Lapa da Meruje dolmen was selected to put in place a twofold project of research (archaeological excavation for a better understanding of the site) and enhancement (rehabilitation and opening to the public). The principles guiding this last vector aim to guarantee the stability and protection of the megalithic building and its surroundings, its permanent monitoring and, if necessary, the possibility of reversing the intervention.
