Resumo
O presente estudo tem como foco apresentar parte do Património Industrial integrante da Paisagem Alentejana, nomeadamente, na região de Évora.
Deste modo, focamo-nos nos Celeiros da EPAC, parte da história industrial eborense e alentejana, que marcam a paisagem visual tanto da cidade como da própria natureza. Esta paisagem, nasceu das medidas tomadas no Estado Novo, conectadas com a Campanha do Trigo, iniciada em 1929, e com antecedentes ainda no século XIX. Procurámos então fazer uma introdução à indústria cerealífera eborense, uma contextualização histórico-económica e uma valorização do espaço dos Celeiros.
Abstract
The present study focuses on presenting part of the Industrial Heritage that is part of the Alentejo Landscape, namely in the Évora region. In this way, we focus on the EPAC granaries, part of the industrial history of Ebor and Alentejo, which mark the visual landscape of both the city and nature itself. This landscape was born of the measures taken in the Estado Novo, connected with the Wheat Campaign, begun in 1929, and with antecedents still in the 19th century.
We tried to make an introduction to the eborense cereal industry, a historical-economic contextualization and a valuation of the barn space.
