Abstract

CIL II 45 was published by Emil Hübner based in a draft made by Manuel do Cenáculo, archbishop of Évora (1724-1814). This epigraphic Roman monument disappeared and, therefore, various interpretations of his text were presented. Finally, the piece was found and a better interpretation - de visu - of the text and his relevance became possible. This paper reports the way of this investigation.
