Abstract

Contemporary societies benefit from a growing increase in their quality of life, materialized in time spent on leisure and collective enjoyment. In this context, Tourism has become an important vehicle for cultural exchange, allowing the knowledge of different material and immaterial aspects related to past and present societies.
The archaeological heritage, as a source of knowledge and material testimony of past societies, acquires special relevance in the context of so-called Cultural Tourism. However, its availability, as an element that can be enjoyed collectively, cannot be disassociated from the responsibility assumed by the tutelary Entities in its study, preservation and dissemination.
