Since early that Reguengos de Monsaraz, proves to be an important place, combining times and cultures which bring special wealth to the region. It is then, in the face of this cultural wealth, and consequently, archeological, that this small archaeological survey was born, focused, in the recent prehistory of the county.

For these reasons, to mention the main reason for the elaboration of this brief work - the inexistence of a work that combines all the existing information about the prehistory in Reguengos de Monsaraz.
